When I moved to Portland in the '70s my friends said, let's go get you a good road bike.
Bike Gallery on NE Sandy was just assumed to be the proper store for a good bike and the Fuji was what they chose for me.
I rode it for a decade until the frame cracked while pedaling over the coastal mountains. My then riding buddy reinforced the break with string and tape that he happened to have with him so we could continue riding to the beach to meet family.
