Trek 830 from Bike Gallery
This was my first venture off of pavement where the fat tires and triple crank were essential. Front suspension was available then. And rear suspension was exotic. I chose to forgo both
I later converted this to a commuter with lights, rack and fenders. I still ride it as a fallback.
I've taken it with me on the train to Seattle. I kept it in Bellevue when I had a place there. I commuted to Redmond on it and once rode the Burke-Gilman Trail to Seattle. I've also boxed it and flown it to Maui and Kauai.

These are my new Ortlieb Classic bags. I'm heading up to the Alt.Net conference in Seattle, traveling by train.
